Tracy Lee Staton
Tracy Lee Staton graduated from Hollins University in 2008 with a BA in Film. She has made several short films and cartoons and has been writing short stories and screenplays since she was a teenager. Tracy has worked as an extra in two major Hollywood productions: Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds and the CBS TV Pilot Body Politic starring Tim Mattheson and Brian Austin Green. Politic allowing her to get the best of both worlds: in front of the camera and behind the camera.
Tracy created, produced and hosted her own radio show ‘Lipstick & Leather’ on 91.5 FM WLUR radio in Lexington, VA. The radio show was dedicated to 80s hair metal music.
Tracy has had a passion for films since she saw E.T. in theaters as a child and cried her first tear from a movie. She got her first video camera, an old VHS camera, at the age of 13. She began filming skits and interviewing her friends. Her passion for filmmaking continued to grow, but it wasn’t until her later years that she discovered she could make her dreams come true. She is currently working on another feature length screenplay and will work as DP for David Gwin’s feature film Reptilians. Her last short horror film was chosen as an official selection at the Blue Ridge Bloodfest in Charlottesville Va, where it was honored as best short horror comedy. Tracy is a native of Buena Vista, VA where she currently resides and aspires to escape from!
