Jennifer Mulvihill

J L Mulvihill, a California native living in Mississippi, has been writing poetry, short stories, and song lyrics since she learned how to write. Forgoing a career as a Rock Star Jen became an author and wrote the first novel of her young adult series, The Lost Daughter of Easa. The Lost Daughter of Easa is a Fantasy/Steampunk novel edged with Sci/Fi. Jen feels that writing is like cooking; a variety of ingredients in the right amount will produce a tasty result. Jen is currently working on her second novel, Elsindai.

J L’s short stories, A Real Dragon and Magic in The Ozarks, are featured in the anthology, Memories and Dreams, published by The Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs, AR. Jen also has a short story and recipe called, Jen’s Spicy Crawfish Bisque, that appears in, It’s All About Food With a Mississippi Twist, which she assisted in the publication of through the Clinton Ink-Slingers. Both books are nonprofit with all proceeds going toward a scholarship in the arts.

J L Mulvihill has written several articles as the Jackson Literature Examiner with Examiner.com. She is also an event’s coordinator for the Mississippi Chapter of Imagicopter, a volunteer organization of authors and artists who promote their own publications while lending a hand to other writers and artists. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), Gulf Coast Writers Association (GCWA), The Mississippi Writers Guild (MWG), as well as The Arts Council of Clinton, The Clinton Ink-Slingers Writing Group, and The JavaInk Jotters.
